We LOVE this place. Been there 4 times over the past 8 years. It's a small Saskatchewan treasure - beautiful canoe trip and a pretty easy hike because there is no elevation change. If you are hiking - consider Sept or early October. It's cooler but there are no mosquitoes. If you are canoeing and kayaking opt for full summer because there are no mosquitoes on the water. We packed a gazebo in our canoe which was great for having a bug free zone. If you are interested in back country camping - this is actually pretty good adventure for families and for friends. And if you are a history buff - this trip offers a great piece of Canadian conservation story.
