Basically Namibia is a fascinating travel destination at any time of the year. However, depending on your special preferences, the following seasons for traveling to Namibia are recommended:
Landscape and nature (December to April): The plants begin to flower and the desert sprouts green grass. Because the animals find enough water in puddles in the bush they are not easily observed around waterholes. The rainy season starts in December and ends in April. Downpours are short and intense and temperatures are high.
Watching animals (May to November): During these dry months the animals congregate at waterholes in large numbers and can be observed easily. This is the best time to watch animals. During June and July and even in August temperatures usually reach 20 degrees C by day but may fall below zero degrees by night. From August onwards it becomes warmer.
