96-hour Visa Free Transit Facilities (VFTF) for PRC and Indian nationals
PRC and Indian nationals who are in transit to or from any third country by air will be eligible for the 96-hour visa free transit facility (VFTF) if they are in possession of a valid onward air ticket departing within the next 96-hours and satisfy the following criteria:
Possess a valid visa/long term pass (validity of at least 1 month) issued by any of the following countries**:
a.Australia
b.Canada
c.Japan
d.New Zealand
e.United Kingdom
f.United States of America
g.Germany
h.Switzerland
Please do note that the VFTF only applies one way throughout the entire itinerary.
Single Journey Visas (SJV) issued by the above countries can also be utilised to qualify for VFTF, when transiting through Singapore on the return leg of the same journey. However the following conditions need to be met:
(a) the traveller travels directly from the country that issued the SJV, onroute through Singapore, directly back to the home country; and
(b) the traveller has not returned to one's home country since the SJV was last utilised
All transit passengers who satisfy the above criteria are not guaranteed entry but are still subjected to Singapore's prevailing entry requirements. Extension of stay for transit passengers under this VFTF scheme is strictly not allowed.
** A visa is considered valid if it is not expired and is good for entry into the third country.
96-hour Visa Free Transit Facilities (VFTF) for Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS*) nationals
Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS*) nationals who are in transit to or from any third country will be eligible for the 96-hour visa free transit facility (VFTF) if they are in possession of a valid onward air ticket departing within the next 96-hours.
All transit passengers who satisfy the above criteria are not guaranteed entry but are still subjected to Singapore's prevailing entry requirements.
Transit passengers who satisfy all the above requirements and allowed entry will be granted a stay of up to 96-hours (4 days) in Singapore. Extension of stay for transit passengers under this VFTF scheme is strictly not allowed.
*CIS refer to the following , Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

TWOV (Transit Without Visa):
Visa required, except for Those continuing to a third country
provided:
- holding confirmed onward tickets;
- holding all documents required for their next destination;
and
- not leaving the airport transit area.
Hotel accommodation is available within the transit area of
Singapore-Changi Airport.
Visa required, except for Those (listed below) who can also
transit for up to 96 hours without a visa and leaving the
transit area ("VFTF" - Visa Free Transit Facility):
- nationals of China (People's Rep.) provided holding a valid
visa or a Residence Permit (still valid for at least one
month) for Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand,
Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA.

- Non-compliance with the visa regulations may result in
deportation at carrier's expense to the country of origin.
Australia (AU)
Passport required.
- Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid
on arrival.
Passport Exemptions:
- Holders of a "Document for Travel to Australia" (DFTTA)
issued by the Australian government (valid for a single
journey).
Visa required, except for Those holding an Electronic Travel
Authority (ETA) For details, click here for tourist or
business travel, obtained prior to departure for Australia. An
ETA may be issued to:
- holders of Hong Kong (SAR China passports);
Visa Issuance:
- Prior to arrival: Electronic Tourist Visa (e676): if such a
visa is granted, the visa holder does not require a visa in
his/her passport. This system is different from the ETA.
The following passengers can apply for a tourist visa on the
Internet (http://www.immi.gov.au) prior to travel:
- holders of Hong Kong (SAR China) passports;
- Prior to arrival: long validity sub-class 456 visa issued
electronically to holders of an APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic
Cooperation) Business Travel Card (ABTC).
