The holiday home is around eight kilometers from the historic town of Wernigerode.
The typical German village restaurant downstairs has billiards, darts and its own pavement café.
You can enjoy long walks through beautiful countryside here. The region is well known for its extensive pine forests and rolling hills, some as high as 1100 meters.
The town of Quedlinburg is well worth a visit, as are the Rübeland Stalactite Caves and the area's recreation lakes. Winter sports can be enjoyed in Braunlage. There are numerous ski-slopes, attractive cross-country ski-runs and a toboggan slide.
