Arriving by carThe entire old town of Salzburg is a pedestrian precinct. We recommend use of the public car parking facilities in the Mönchsberg mountain or in the Nonntal area of the town. There are also parking facilities in the ‘Mirabellgarage’, on the Red Cross car park next to the River Salzach or at the end of Linzergasse. Those guests parking their cars on the convenient ‘Park & Ride’ car parks at the exhibition centre (A1 – motorway exit ‘Messezentrum’) or in Alpenstraße (A10 – motorway exit Salzburg-Süd) can avoid the traffic jams by using the quick and efficient public transport service to the old town of Salzburg.
