The Venetian Arsenal is the first known industry implant of our civilization. In the 15th century employed thousands of blacksmith, sailors, builders, rope-makers and carpenters. They produced ships for the Republic of Venice and for merchants and governments of the whole known world. In the Arsenal were built the battle ships for the crusades and the Lepanto Battle. Today it is a mooring for the Italian Navy and it hosts the Historical Naval Museum of Venice (www.marina.difesa.it/venezia/arsenale.asp) and The Italian Institute of Navy Military Studies The flat is a two double bedroom apartment of 85mq, It is on a second floor and has a comfortable living room with sofa-bed for two, kitchen with table and chairs, a large master bedroom and a single bedroom. The bathroom is fitted with a bath. From the windows you can see the Venetians roofs. In the Arsenal premises there has been a deep and long process of restoration. In this location there is the Italian pavilion for the Biennale International Art Exhibition (www.labiennale.org). The Pavilion is facing the Virgin’s Garden and this complex is dedicated to the Italian participation to the Exhibition that take place every two years and is co-organized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
