This hike has everything! We started at the bottom in fine weather (October 24th) and passed many people who were on the way down who warned us it was very windy at the top! As we went higher and reached the snow line, the going looked interesting to say the least, especially for the way back down as people were sliding everywhere on the icy pathway but we kept going. We got past the tree line and scrambled up to the top and it was definitely worth it! It was incredibly windy but the views made it worthwhile. Then for the descent -this ended up being a lot more fun than I anticipated- we sat on our bottoms on the steeper parts and just slid down! You needed gloves for protection and we obviously got to the bottom much faster than it might normally take!
