It has totally free entrance and parking is free on a Sunday and only £1 per hour the rest of the week. Donations are welcomed of course but are totally voluntary in a couple of donation boxes scattered throughout the museum. There is loads to do spread over 7 floors of galleries and interactive attractions. My kids love the TV studio level 4 and the Internet through the years on ground level. I love the retro arcade games pacman, donkey kong etc at 20p per game. There is a nice cafe on the ground floor which is as expensive as you would expect without being outrageous. Honestly if you want something to do with your kids or even just on your own to slowly amble round that has free admission and is indoors which is fun and educational there probably isn't anything better. The actual photo art galleries are always excellent and usually change artist every few months. At the moment "Stranger than Fiction" is just bizarrely brilliant.
