BATH, CHESTER, BELFAST, CARDIEF, PORTSMOUTH, ISLE OF MAN,lower slaughter,stow-on-the-wold也是热议比较多的,请提一提建议,
Hi, just give you a general idea what to expect.
In London. Westminster Abbey, Westerminster Riverside, St. Pauls, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Greenwich and Royal Observatory, Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Hampton Court Palace, Royal Bontanic Garden, Richmond, Highgate Cemetary, Buckingham Palace, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, London Eye, South Bank, British Museum, V&A, Covent Garden, Shopping!
Around London: White Cliff of Dover, Brighton Royal Pavillion, Windsor Castle, Cambridge, Oxford, Cotswold and Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Beicester Shopping Village, Bleinham Palace, Leeds Castle.
There are also a lot of old mansion houses/estates/castles dotted around here, including the home of RosChild family, the father of morden banking industry, Churchill former residence, etc.
what is classic for London? Well, that's a difficult question. London caters for different people with different tastes. I don't know if you are into musuems, historic palaces, mounument, natural urban oasis, shopping or eating. The classic where all the tourists cover are riverside along Westminster, Westminster Abbey, St. Pauls, Tower and Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and British Museum.
If you want to see more of historic palaces, you can go further field to Hampton Court or next to Hyde Park lies Kensington Palace, where was the birth place of Queen Victoria and official residence of former Princess Wales, Diana.
If you want to to see mounument, go to Albert Memorial, which was built during the hayday of the Empire. A maganificent piece. or you can to go Mounument, which was built to commerate the great fire of City of London. You also can climb to the top to have the view of entire Central London.
If you want to experience the cultural highlight London offers, go to V&A, which is specialised in decorative arts. National Gallary and Tate Gallery collect masterpeices from Renaissance. National Portrait Gallery collects the portraits of important figures in British Empire and in the world from 20th century. Tate Morden is for morden arts collect. Natural History Museum is also worth visiting and it's an excellent sample for the work such as Darwin. Next to that is Science Museum, which is great for kid. In Covent Garden, we have the Transport Museum, which illustrates history of the integrated transport system of London, the pioneering sample of all the transport system in the world.
If you want to have relaxing time in London, Royal Parks offers the tranquility you won't imagine to have in such big city. You can row a boat or have a nice horse riding track in Hyde Park. You can climb to Greenwich Park to have a vesta view of London and the new financial district, Docklands. You can do walk track and see herlds of deer in Richmond Park. For the most sophisticated, you can have a walk in the rose garden or feed the ducks and swans in Regent's Park.
I don't need to say more about shopping, eating and clubbing in London. It's the shopping capital of Europe. We offer more generous VAT refund than all other EU countries with lower threshold of spending and you can get the refund within one group with your overal spending limit. Lots of restaurants offer international reward cruises and special deals for your business. You can do shopping in the day, having afternoon tea in Ritz, eating in fine restaurant in the evening and clubbing until next morning!
First, you spend too long in London. See, you can finish your '2 Aug-4 Aug' in one day if you travel by underground. Actually many of those, e.g., Buckingham and Tower Bridge, can be combine into your plan for the Wesminster region.
Second, your trip from Manchester is too intensive. It is almost impossible to finish the Old Trafford and the Manchester Museum within half a day-in fact it takes you almost 1 hour to go to Old Trafford by bus from Manchester centre (Route 250), including waiting and walking. Your 11th Aug is really horrible. Only Bleneim Palace (so called Churchill Park) will take 1 day even you travel from the nearest station, Oxford. But I notice on that day you even want to visit the Shakespear Place. Windsor and Bicester are almost in two directions, one is near Cambridge and one is close to Oxford if I remember correctly. How can you finish them in one day?
So to sum up, I strongly suggest you to re-plan your proposal before travelling.
