It will be better if you have a world phone (quad band phone). Otherwise you will have to find out what company operates on which band and then get a SIM card you can use.

手机应该无所谓吧, 卡的话满大街都是, 随便买个号冲值就用了,
另外美国的手机的好处是打任何美国/加拿大的电话都是一个价钱, 没有国内长途一说, 所以即使你所在城市没有Local Access Number也无所谓

有的电话打加拿大是要额外收钱的...我用的tmobile的family plan,打加拿大就多收了...
